Handsome pair: Snow and Hugo
Our new foster girl Snow (Snowie Secret) arrived yesterday and we thought to celebrate it with a run at the velodrome :)

Everybody had such fun -especially Hugo and Snow, who run the most :)

Snow is very cute, small girl, who looks like a meerkat! Well,  apart from her hilarious tail, which I swear reminds me of the tail of European fox! Snow is light fawn , but for some reason, her permanently bushy tail is dark grey on top - very fox-like! :)
Whether a meerkat or a fox, Snow is very sweet and affectionate. She slept like a baby her first night here and is currently fast asleep in the conservatory (after having couple of mad races with Hugo in the garden! :)
Everybody :)

Check out Snow's tail! :)
Snow mastering getting treats through the muzzle.
She is very food-focused and will be easy to train :)

Cute Snow :)
And Lucy had her usual power nap!

Gorgeous "Winsome Jess" just retired recently and is now in a foster home in  Auckland waiting for that perfect home :)
Doesn't she look like a dingo??? :)

She is a tiny girl -she raced at 25kg! And she did great too: she had 78 starts and earned over $30,000 for her trainer.
She is great with dogs, cats and kids but at this stage is a bit worried about all the changes in her life. She is very soft and very sweet.
Jess is also true greyhound royalty: her father is the most famous Aussie greyhound of all times: Brett Lee, and her mother is Winsome Silver. Jess was imported from Australia by Denis Schofield (who was also Louie's trainer :)
And, for the those who read this blog regularly, Jess is also Beryl's (Winsome Deluxe) half-sister (they have the same father )!
I am sure Jess will be snapped up pretty fast :) More pics of Jess below (thank you Sonja for great shots!)
Jess has no prey drive -she is not  interested in chickens either

Update 2 April:
Jess is doing really well in foster care in AUckland. Her foster Mum brought her along to a GAP promo event held at the Four Seasons Pet Shop in Glenn Innes in  Auckland today. Here is her picture:

Update from Keith (Phantom's Mask)

Cute fawn boy Keith (Phantom's Mask) now lives with Tracey and family in Hawkes Bay. He shares his new home with two little girls (Hannah and Keisha) and a cat called Marmalade :)
His new Mum Tracey wrote:
We have had our gorgeous Keith for nearly three months now, we adopted him just before Christmas. He was initially very quiet but has slowly come out of his shell and gained confidence, especially since school has started and we have more of a routine.
He loves to go for a walk and is great on the lead but his favourite is when he can really stretch his legs - he's a rocket! We are still working on his recall but is showing improvement.  He has his two couches, one inside and one outside, much to the amusement of people walking past our gate who often ask me why my dog sleeps upside down!
Our cat Marmalade  is determined to be the boss and in the beginning did anything possible to annoy Keith but happily he seems to have given that up and now they take wide births around each other or wait until one moves out of the way - it's quite amusing. :)
Keith eats well and we have learnt quickly not to leave food on the bench or it will disappear as if it was never there !  There is always huge excitement when someone notices  Keith having a nut attack as we call it  -we all run to watch!  It is so funny: he runs round and round chasing his tail then sprints round the trampoline several times,  does a few circuits of the back yard then inside onto the couch for a rest!
Hannah and Keisha, our two girls, love Keith and he knows just how to get their attention: he will go and take one of their soft toys of their bed and run off with it! :) He knows he will get a big cuddle when they come to get it back.  They love to show him off to their friends - we walk to school on Fridays and he is always surrounded by other kids patting and cuddling him.  We just love our cuddly boy  to bits -he is such a joy to have around!

Cute Paddy (Paddy Bond) has just arrived to Sanson  GAP kennels and is up for adoption. Isn't he lovely?
He is a fawn color greyhound, who was a very accomplished racer: he has earned almost $30,000 over 67 starts (he was trained by Angela and Hayden Udy).
You can see his racing history here:
http://www.thedogs.co.nz/greyhounds/profiles.aspx?AnimalID=13084

Isn't his career impressive? BTW, he is cat-safe too :)

And this is his picture, taken by Sonja, GAP kennel manager, in Sanson GAP kennels today :
