Sammy Stone sent me a very special post today - below :)
Today is a very special day for our family. Exactly 2 years ago today, our very first greyhound joined the family. Boy does time go fast. It seems like shuch a short time ago Liz and her greyhound Bull had us seated in our lounge fillng out the GAP questionare sheet. I can remember looking at the GAP website prior to this and had seen a hound that i fell in love with, and after 3 weeks of waiting, we got the call to say that Jazz (she was called Squirt at the time) was the dog that had been matched to us. Her racing name was 'Homebush Squirt' :) When the day finally came for us to pick up Jazz, I was so excited. I remember making up her bed in the corner of the Dining room that morning before we set off on our 2-3hour drive to pick up the newest member of our family. It was a very excting moment when the lovely ladies (Sonja and Irene) at GAP brought out our new little girl.
I dont know where i would be without Jazz, she has brought me into a community of amazing, greyhound loving people. Thank you to everyone GAP !!!
P.S. Jazz had now been joined by her litter brother Leo (Our Cheetah), and her best friend Jade, who both have also been matched to us by GAP :-)
